The latest advancements we are seeing currently bit seem unnatural and that's the truth because we are moving too fast in technology. To cope with the latest trends in technology we have to make sure we are optimistic about the future.

Recently OpenAI launched its latest multimodal GPT-4o and its capabilities are mindblowing. I just saw the announcement video by the CTO of Open AI Mira Murati. they did some demos on the voice and vision -enabled features with real-time replies ( yes no delay at all, like talking to real people alongside)

I was very excited about the event as they always bring something very interesting and mindblowing kinds of stuff but unfortunately, I couldn't due to some lazy reasons. So lately been researching this tech and seeing how people are reacting to this is mindblowing it is an excellent launch by the Open AI team, the way they show the demos feel like we have some sort of virtual superpowers in our hands (AI-enabled, real-time e data, Human voice), what else we all need?

I will talk about this later but let's go back to 2 years later when the AI boost happened when Open AI launched their latest model chat GPT powered by their latest model GPT-3. When they launched it in November 2022, it just got so well that it received the most record traffic, it was like 1 million sign-ups in just 1 week. It took 1 month for Instagram to reach 1 million users. It is the dream of every founder to reach that level but here also matters what you provide, how valuable it is, and how it gonna help them so that they will tell others. In this case, chat GPT nailed it due to their positive feedback response.

And now very much people are aware of this tool and someway they are using it.

Now in 2023, they launched one more improved and enhanced pre-trained model, GPT-4. which is their paid model to try it out because why not? They are burning money like no one and the only way is to make people pay to use it. Provide more than expectation and ask them for the pay. No better way than this ever. It was a vision model integrated with the latest Dalle-3(text-to-image generation model).

Due to this competition many big companies also launched their Large Language Model. Google launched its latest model Google Gemini ( previously Bard ), and Anthropic launched Claude and there are many more. Also one from India, we saw krutrim by OLA. If we start counting these innovations, it will never end.

As Sam Altman said in his recent blog post on the launch of GPT-4o “The new voice (and video) mode is the best computer interface I’ve ever used. It feels like AI from the movies, and it’s still a bit surprising to me that it’s real. Getting to human-level response times and expressiveness turns out to be a big change. Talking to a computer has never felt really natural for me; now it does. As we add (optional) personalization, access to your information, the ability to take actions on your behalf, and more, I can really see an exciting future where we are able to use computers to do much more than ever before.”

Just see the demos if you still do not believe it is true. See the blog post from Open AI- https://openai.com/index/hello-gpt-4o/

I am very much excited for the future technology as it gonna unlock so many paths and we are just a door away from it. As demonstrated in the demo video, it does not feel like we are talking to an AI and that's the quality open AI team has worked to date having a few quality engineers in their team.

We can use it as our virtual assistant, if it is multi-model then it is all you need. Starting from normal assistance to solving complex health-related problems, AI is here to solve complex problems. And it is up to us, how we gonna use it.

I think this is just the beginning and we are moving too faster than ever ( Again saying ). To stay relevant in this fast-moving technology, we have to start using these models, gain an understanding of how these models work, how they are capable of many things, build products around this using their API, and read blogs and papers from top engineers and researchers.

It is very difficult to say AI gonna replace human work and jobs. Someway it is true but also it will create lots of jobs. According to that, we have to upskill ourselves, we have to learn new skills, and we have to learn about these models.

At last, the future is in our hands and we are the owner of it. Only we can decide what are future gonna look like. Dont ever let anyone define it.
